Recipe for lasagna with minced meat (kafta) :

Ingredients:

- 9 lasagna noodles

- 500 grams minced meat (beef or lamb)

- 1 onion, finely chopped

- 3 cloves of garlic, minced

- 1 can (400 grams) crushed tomatoes

- 2 tablespoons tomato paste

- 1 teaspoon dried basil

- 1 teaspoon dried oregano

- 1/2 teaspoon salt

- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

- 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese

- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.

2. In a large skillet, heat some olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion becomes translucent.

3. Add the minced meat to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.

4. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Let the sauce simmer for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

5. In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of the meat sauce on the bottom. Place three lasagna noodles on top of the sauce.

6. Add another layer of meat sauce, followed by a layer of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Repeat this layering process until you run out of noodles or ingredients, ending with a layer of cheese on top.

7. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.

8. Once cooked, remove the lasagna from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.

9. Slice the lasagna into portions and serve it warm. Enjoy your delicious lasagna with minced meat!

Note: You can also add additional vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms to the meat sauce for added flavor and nutrition.
