recipe for fried cheese balls served with lettuce, cherry tomatoes, salt, and black pepper:
Ingredients:
For the fried cheese balls:
- 8 ounces of cheese (such as mozzarella or cheddar), cut into small cubes
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- Vegetable oil for frying
For the salad:
- Lettuce leaves, washed and torn
- Cherry tomatoes, halved
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Take a cube of cheese and roll it into a ball shape. Repeat with the remaining cheese cubes.
2. Place the breadcrumbs, all-purpose flour, and beaten eggs into separate bowls.
3. Dip each cheese ball into the flour, then into the beaten eggs, and finally coat it with breadcrumbs. Make sure each ball is well coated.
4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or fryer over medium heat.
5. Carefully place the coated cheese balls into the hot oil and fry them until they turn golden brown and crispy. This should take about 2-3 minutes. Remove them from the oil and drain on paper towels to remove any excess oil.
6. In a separate bowl, combine the torn lettuce leaves and halved cherry tomatoes for the salad.
7. Season the salad with salt and black pepper according to your taste.
8. Arrange the fried cheese balls on a plate, placing them on the bottom view. Place the lettuce and cherry tomato salad beside the cheese balls.
9. Sprinkle some additional salt and black pepper over the cheese balls and salad, if desire
