Lemon Milk Dessert

Lemon Milk Dessert Recipe

Ingredients:

- 4 cups of milk

- 1 cup of sugar

- Zest of 2 lemons

- Juice of 2 lemons

- 1/4 cup of cornstarch

- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

- Whipped cream and lemon slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

1. In a saucepan, combine the milk, sugar, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Heat the mixture over medium heat until it begins to simmer, stirring occasionally.

2. In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch with a little bit of water to make a slurry.

3. Slowly pour the cornstarch slurry into the simmering milk mixture while continuously whisking. Continue whisking for about 2-3 minutes, or until the mixture thickens and coats the back of a spoon.

4. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Let the mixture cool for a few minutes.

5. Pour the dessert mixture into individual serving bowls or glasses.

6. Cover the bowls or glasses with plastic wrap, ensuring the plastic wrap touches the surface of the dessert to prevent a skin from forming.

7. Refrigerate the desserts for at least 2-3 hours or until they are completely chilled and set.

8. Before serving, you can garnish the desserts with whipped cream and lemon slices, if desired.

9. Enjoy the refreshing and tangy Lemon Milk Dessert!

Note: You can adjust the sweetness and tanginess of the dessert by adding more or less sugar and lemon juice, according to your taste preferences.
